Business Collaboration with GILDEMEISTER AG (of Germany)
Outline of collaboration
Since we started our collaboration in March 2009, Mori Seiki and GILDEMEISTER AG of Germany have been cooperating with each other, and we have continued and strengthened our work in tandem in areas including the integration of the two companies' sales centers, part supply, joint development, and providing financing for customers. As a result, we have established leadership in the global machine tool market. On the basis of this strengthened relationship in terms of capital, the two companies will continue to pursue greater levels of cooperation and expand their sales.

Cooperative efforts with GILDEMEISTER
Joint development and production
Mori Seiki jointly developed the MILLTAP 700 with GILDEMEISTER. Also a vertical machining center, the DMC 635 V ecoline , and a turning center, the CTX 310 ecoline V3, are manufactured at the GILDEMEISTER's plant in Shanghai, China and added to our product line-up. The NTX1000 and the NHX4000 in the X-class were supplied as OEM products.
Production on a global basis
We will utilize GILDEMEISTER's production bases (Europe / Shanghai, China)
in addition to Mori Seiki's existing plants in Japan. We also utilize Mori Seiki Manufacturing USA, which started operation in July
2012, and MORI SEIKI (TIANJIN) Manufacturing, which will start operation in Fall 2013, to shorten delivery time by spreading production bases.
Mori Seiki supplies internal products such as turrets, motors and ball screws to GILDEMEISTER AG. We seek to improve the quality of the parts, and to provide a wealth of options at inexpensive costs.
Purchasing
Joint purchasing brings down procurement costs, and this enables us to set more affordable prices from the customers' point of view.
Finance
Through our subsidiary fi nance company, we offer customers who are thinking of
buying a DMG or Mori Seiki product the optimum support with fi nance.
