At the open house, seminars were held in the training facility. Mori Seiki celebrated the grand opening of the Chemnitz Technical Center with an open house on February 11 (Wed.) and 12 (Thu.). We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended. Chemnitz is the third-largest city in the Free State of Saxony, which is located in the eastern part of Germany and is known as an industrial area where the automobile and textile industries have been thriving since early times. Our new technical center is situated in Stollberg, approximately 20 km (12.4 miles) south of Chemnitz. Previously, Mori Seiki has established technical centers mainly in Western Germany including Stuttgart, Munich, Hamburg, Dusseldorf and Frankfurt. With the Chemnitz Technical Center opened, we can now provide responsive and comprehensive service and support for our customers in Eastern Germany. At the open house, what particularly attracted the customers' attention was a large showroom with an area of 560 m2 (6,027.8 ft2), where seven of the latest machine tools are on display. This showroom allows customers to consider purchasing display models such as the NMV5000 DCG high-precision, 5-axis control vertical machining center and the NT4250 DCG/1500SZ high-precision, high-efficiency integrated mill turn center, while they are looking at the machines in actual operation. We will also introduce the state-of-the-art technology, offer advice and solutions on machining and conduct test machining by utilizing these machines. All staff at the Chemnitz Technical Center will strive to provide useful proposals to increase productivity for every customer who visits. We are looking forward to your visit! Mori Seiki will further strengthen our service and support system so that our customers all over the world can use Mori Seiki machines with peace of mind.
